The “I Love You” Song

This is a little song that I wrote for my kids. It started with one of my kids sitting on my lap. He was very sad. He’d had a hard day and was getting into trouble a lot. I just started singing this to him. I added more to it later,  put it to music at the piano and it has since become one of his favorite songs. My kids ask me to sing it quite often.  Sorry, I don’t have the music to go with it as of yet. Maybe I can add that later. Hope you enjoy it!

The “I Love You” Song

I love you! I love you! Yes, I do.

I love you! I love you! Yes, I do.

I love you in the morning

And in the afternoon.

I love you in the evening

And down underneath the moon.

Yes, I love you! Oh I love you!

Yes, I love you! Oh I love you!

Yes, I do.

Sometimes this world is crazy

And I get to feelin’ real down

But I still love you.

Please know that even on my worst day

When things aren’t going well

That I still love you.

I really love you, oh yes, I love you!

I really love you, oh yes, I do

Really love you!

I really love you, oh yes, I love you!

I really love you, oh yes, I do

Really love you!

I love you! I love you! Yes, I do.
